Across two decades of focusing on renewable resources, members of the RRG Capital Management team have been on the ground in farming and agronomy, hydrology and water infrastructure, habitat conservation, and renewable energy. We're proud of the performance of our investments — and of the trust we've earned with partners and peers. We've worked hard to demonstrate the power of win-win solutions that create value for investors alongside positive environmental and social benefits for people and the planet.

As early as 2002, RRG team members were focused on putting private capital to work partnering with farmers, irrigation districts, and other local stakeholders in communities up and down California's Central Valley — one of the most productive, but water-stressed, agricultural regions. Over the years, we’ve learned a lot from working on the ground, side-by-side with innovative, forward-thinking agronomists, water managers, and environmental and community leaders.

Those experiences - as investors and operators - have inspired us to design, develop, and execute a host of innovative water infrastructure, agriculture, conservation, and renewable energy investments and operations over the years. They’ve fueled our growth strategy - one based on understanding our partners’ needs and earning their trust, and on finding projects and solutions that meet both economic and impact objectives.

More than two decades later, RRG Capital Management, a Renewable Resources Group company, is an established global investment firm focused on sustainable real assets and operating companies across the US West (California, Arizona, Washington), Latin America (Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay), and Australia. We’re proud to be a Certified B Corporation, with robust ESG and sustainability protocols and practices, and a deep, experienced team.

We've managed a host of different crops, across multiple continents and microclimates, and large food and agriculture companies. We’ve pioneered water resiliency solutions at scale, building new groundwater storage and creating sustainable new supplies, and helping to try to heal damaged aquifers in the process. We've developed commercial-scale renewable energy projects in the Western US and South America. We've created the RRG Sustainable Water Impact Fund (SWIF) — in partnership with the global environmental non-profit, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) — aimed at achieving land and water conservation outcomes on three continents. We're investors, developers, managers, and operators, and we're committed to creating value and delivering meaningful, measurable impact.

And we believe that private capital, properly deployed and managed, can and must play a vital role in addressing the most pressing natural resource challenges of our time. That's a lesson first learned some twenty years ago in California's Central Valley, and reinforced across the world ever since.
